STUART TO OFFER NEW JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

October 26, 2006 - Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart is pleased to announce the formation of a new Junior Kindergarten (JK) program. The JK program will begin in the fall of 2007, will be co-ed, and is open to students who will become 5 years of age by September 1, 2008.

The JK program will run from 8 am to 3 pm each school day. Students will develop skills in Language Arts and Mathematics, increase their social and emotional capacities and set the foundation for future learning in Kindergarten. The JK program not only includes Language Arts and Math, but also Visual Arts, Music, Physical Education, Computer Science, Religion and instruction in French and Spanish. This new JK program at Stuart will expand the school's tradition of Pre-school excellence. Stuart will still continue to offer its 3 and 4-year-old Pre-School programs.
