Doane Stuart Sports Award Print E-mail

In the Class D Sectionals for Track and Field, The Doane Stuart School’s Simon Lynch ’06 won the doanestuartsportsPentathlon Gold Medal, finishing first in 4 of the 5 events (110M Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, and 1500 Meters).  Gil Kusler ’06 finished 5th in High Jump.

 

Doane Stuart’s Boys’ Baseball Team has received the Central Hudson Valley League 2006 Sportsmanship Award, an honor given by the League coaches for “school spirit and grace in both winning and losing.”  Individual accomplishments include League All-Star selections Rob Smith ’07 (1st Team), Jeremy Darling ’07 and Justin Kwan ’09 (2nd Team), and Kameron Cary ’09 and Andy Frezon ’08 (Honorable Mention). 

 

It was a season, also, of awards and recognition for Doane Stuarts’s Girls’ teams.  League All-Stars from the Softball Team were Laura Alessi ’10 (1st Team), who pitched a stunning no hitter this season; Amy Atkins ’06 (2nd Team); and Bridget Hodgkinson ’06 (Honorable Mention).  In Crew, Jessica Cole ’08 finished 4th State in Individuals, while Emily Lagan ’11 and Victoria Haltermann ’11 placed 3rd in Scholastics States Doubles. 

 

Doane Stuart congratulates Coach Pat Light and the all of the members of the School’s teams for demonstrating both skill and sportsmanship during this wonderful season.
