In the Class D Sectionals for Track and Field, The Doane Stuart School’s Simon Lynch ’06 won the Pentathlon Gold Medal, finishing first in 4 of the 5 events (110M Hurdles, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Put, and 1500 Meters).  Gil Kusler ’06 finished 5^th in High Jump.

Doane Stuart’s Boys’ Baseball Team has received the Central Hudson Valley League 2006 Sportsmanship Award, an honor given by the League coaches for “school spirit and grace in both winning and losing.”  Individual accomplishments include League All-Star selections Rob Smith ’07 (1^st Team), Jeremy Darling ’07 and Justin Kwan ’09 (2^nd Team), and Kameron Cary ’09 and Andy Frezon ’08 (Honorable Mention). 

It was a season, also, of awards and recognition for Doane Stuarts’s Girls’ teams.  League All-Stars from the Softball Team were Laura Alessi ’10 (1^st Team), who pitched a stunning no hitter this season; Amy Atkins ’06 (2^nd Team); and Bridget Hodgkinson ’06 (Honorable Mention).  In Crew, Jessica Cole ’08 finished 4^th State in Individuals, while Emily Lagan ’11 and Victoria Haltermann ’11 placed 3^rd in Scholastics States Doubles.
