Grade 7 Student Raises Over $500 to Educate Peer in Uganda

Middle School for Girls Student Cami Beauregard recently presented Sister Bridget Bearss with a check for nearly $550 after spending the summer raising funds to enable one child to attend the Sacred Heart school in Uganda.  Beauregard raised much of the money by setting up a lemonade stand in Block Island, Rhode Island over a three-day period.  She also created a tri-fold brochure entitled "Change for Change" to raise awareness.  A PowerPoint presentation developed by one of her teachers, Mrs. Saylor, was the inspiration for the summer project.  Well done, Cami!
