Thought for the Day
We have an invitation to believe as never before - and act upon the belief - that love is stronger than hatred, that it casts out fear, that it has been planted in the hearts of millions of others of every race and religion, by the Holy Spirit who dwells within us and within the heart of the universe...What can we really do to have an effect on our world? What is the call of this moment that is within our grasp, to which each one of is can respond? My response is ever so simple and at the same time not easy. Going back to the words of Etty Hillesum, I think it is the call to Deepen our love...We must continue to believe that another world is possible and that we have a part to play in its transformation.

Prayer in Time of Earthquake
Loving God, You set the earth on its foundation.
Keep your people safe from the danger of earthquakes
And let us feel the presence of your love.
May we be secure in your protection
And serve you with grateful hearts.
Pour out your blessings on the people of Haiti,
On the RSCJ community there and its ministries, and on all the emergency responders.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
