Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich, Connecticut seeks Assistant Director of Admission

As a Convent of the Sacred Heart employee, the Assistant Director of Admission commits to the School’s mission as expressed in the Goals and Criteria to help manage the School’s admission efforts.  The Assistant Director of Admission is particularly responsible for planning, coordinating and directing activities designed to attract, enroll and retain students to the Convent of the Sacred Heart.  This is a full-time position.

Essential Functions:
•       Expand and maintain a high level of personal contact with feeder schools, church groups, civic organizations, alumnae and clergy who can refer qualified students for admission to Sacred Heart.

•       Conduct tours and interviews for prospective students and their parents.

•       To maintain admission files for students in the admission process.

•       To become familiar with the entire school community and our PS-Grade 12 curriculum by attending faculty meetings, special events, extracurricular activities, etc.

•       To coordinate Admission testing as needed; the ISEE for Middle and Upper school applicants or various assessments and standardized testing for Lower school applicants.

•       To coordinate and participate in admission committee meetings.

•       To recruit and work with parent volunteers who assist during Admission events.

•       To plan and participate in recruiting events both on and off campus such as Open Houses, Tour Days, school fairs, etc.

•       To represent the School at Network of Sacred Heart Schools and other independent school meetings and workshops at the request of the Director of Admission.


Additional Responsibilities:
•       Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission.

Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree is required and experience in an admission office is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel and Blackbaud are also important for this position.
