Atherton seeks High School Math Teacher Print E-mail

Founded in 1898, Sacred Heart Schools, in Atherton, California enrolls 970 students in a preschool through grade 12 program.  The 64 acre campus includes eight classroom buildings, a state-of-the-art performing arts center, five athletic fields, and an aquatic center with an Olympic swimming pool, a new all-weather track and field house, a tennis complex, and two gymnasiums. 

Sacred Heart Preparatory high school (SHP) has 530 students in ninth through twelfth grades instructed by 63 faculty members.  Supported by the rich traditions of the Society of the Sacred Heart’s 200 year history in Atherton, SHP offers a curriculum that is spiritually based, progressive, and academically challenging.  Most of the more than 100 courses are approved by the University of California as credit courses. 

Full time math teacher for the fall 2008

·         Qualified applicants must have a degree in Mathematics. 
·         A California Single-subject Teaching Credential in Math is desirable, but not required. 
·         Masters degree preferred but not required.
·         Applicants must be able to teach a broad range of high school math courses and have experience teaching at the High school level.
·          Applicants should also possess a strong teaching ability and a demonstrated passion for Mathematics.
·         We are looking for someone who is willing to be an active, vibrant member of the Sacred Heart Schools. 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
