91st Street seeks Lower School Learning Specialist |

Convent of the Sacred Heart 91st Street New York, NY is looking for a
Learning Specialist with a Master's degree in Special Education to
work with 3rd and 4th grade students.
Responsibilities include:
-Plan and teach language arts remediation in small groups of up to 6 students/class
-Maintain files of approx. 24 students\' strengths, weaknesses, progress, accommodations, and goals
-Assist in 6 classrooms during language arts periods
-Attend all 3d and 4th grade team meetings to discuss students\' progress, accommodations, and upcoming curriculum units
-Meet with Support Services Team and other specialists once a week to discuss students\' academic, social, and emotional needs
-Write 2 progress reports and participate in at least 2 parent-teacher conferences/student/year
-Keep open communication with all specialists and tutors in and out of school
-Attend professional development classes and report to colleagues
