Open to current 10 th and 11 th grade female students

$160 plus cost of transportation

Participants in “Lending a Hand” will spend their mornings tutoring at risk elementary age children at a Seattle Public School . Afternoons will be spent at a variety of social service agencies including shelters, food banks, soup kitchens, thrift stores, etc. Living simply in community, students will stay at Forest Ridge School ; and they will have the opportunity to share reflections about their experience through the building of a website.
