BUILDING WITH HEARTS AND HANDS     July 6 – July 13

Greenwich, CTOpen to current 10th – 12th grade students – Coed$160 plus cost of transportationFor the first part of the project, students will volunteer at soup kitchens in NYC, Stamford, and Bridgeport to deepen their understanding of people living without the means to put three mails on the table. For the second part of the project, students will spend time trying to bring about change in the community of Bridgeport, CT through building homes along side their future owners for Habitat for Humanity. Students will also build community by living a simple life at St. Charles Parish in Bridgeport and sharing the responsibilities of taking care of one another. Evenings will be spent in reflecting on and discussing daily experiences.
